Vision: Sustainable, attractive cities, where it is easy to live and travel

Vision Waterway 365, Vattenbussen, Konstfack, KTH
We are convinced that the waterway can contribute in creating better accessibility for both people and goods. But we are also willing to stand back if sustainable measurements tell us there are better ways of doing it. However, so far, that is not the case at all. On the contrary.

Across triple helix boarders

Our vision is to contribute to the development of sustainable attractive cities and new transport innovations. Through working transparently together across borders with academia, private as well as public sector, inviting experts from other areas concerned by public transport and accessibility, we are certain that we will be able to increase and spread knowledge and inspire to the birth of new products and services.

The goal of the project is to illustrate how urban waterways can be used during all 365 days a year in order to add sustainable transport capacity to congested cities or regions.

In the summer of 2014 students from Konstfack (University of Art, Crafts and Design) and KTH (Royal Institute of Technology) came up with the picture above. Thanks again to Linnea Våglund, Karin Bodin samt Johan Fridström, Harsha Cheemakurthy, Simon Eklund and Urban Andrén.
